     i. Any place where a specific term, such as two-thirds, or unanimous, is used, it refers to that much of the quorum of the complete Legislature

1. "Quorum of the complete Legislature" shall be 24 legislators.

(Basically, it means that any time a law or part of the Constitution says we need a certain fractional amount of legislators to vote one way on an issue, it means that fraction out of 24. So, if it says "two-third of the Legislature", that means 16 legislators vote one way. The reason I used 24 is because it works with thirds and fourths mathematically.)

V. Constitutional Disagreements

A. Role of the Chief Justice in Settling Constitutional Contradictions.
      i. It is the primary role of the Chief Justice of the Alliance of Christian Nations to interpret the Constitution.
ii. If an ACN member wishes to make a case that a piece of legislation, a constitutional amendment, an executive order, or any other action is in disagreement with the Constitution; they must bring their case to the Chief Justice.
iii. If the Chief Justice rules that a measure/order is in contradiction with the Constitution, then the measure/order is struck down and is no longer in force.
iv. If the Chief Justice rules that a measure/order is not in contradiction with the Constitution, then the case may not be brought up again during the same Chief Justice’s current term unless new evidence can be shown and the arguer is able to prove that it is an emergency that the Chief Justice hears the case again.

VI. Morality

A. Moral Code of ACN Members
     i. The Alliance of Christian Nations will forever be a Christian faction, and because the ACN is a Christian faction, it is expected that all ACN members abide by a standard of conduct.
ii. Christianity is defined as it is in Wikipedia: “a monotheistic religion centered on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as presented in the New Testament. The Christian faith is essentially faith in Jesus as the Christ (or Messiah), the Son of God, the Savior, and God (Yahweh or the "Lord") himself.” ACN members are assumed to be in agreement with the definition found on Wikipedia by accepting membership into the faction.
ii. The Chief Justice shall have the role of declaring if a member of the ACN is in violation of any of the below standards of conduct. Any of the below actions are extremely prohibited by any ACN member:
            a. Condemning a particular sect of Christianity to ****.

            d. Using the Lord’s name in vain.
            e. Committing genocide of one’s own people or the people of another nation.
             f. Supporting someone who commits genocide of one’s own people or the people of another nation.

          a. If the Chief Justice finds an ACN member who is an officeholder in violation of the above Moral Code, then the Chief Justice may petition the Executive and President of the Legislature to hear his case of violation. If a unanimous guilty verdict by all three leaders is reached, then the officeholder found guilty will be immediately and permanently ejected. If one of the three leaders finds the officeholder innocent, then the case is disregarded, and the member retains his or her membership.

History[]

Many months ago, before the option for factions was created on nations, two Facebook groups existed: The Alliance of Christian Nations (a liberal alliance founded by Alex Cooper) and The Christian Defense League (a conservative far-right alliance co-founded by Bobby Hall of Erikobbystan and Carlos de Cordoba of the Fascist Nation of Regnum Caeli). Bobby Hall would later leave the CDL and go his own way for awhile because of internal problems within the group. When the "factions" option was finally created, the ACN and CDL decided to merge and create one Christian faction together, naming it the League of Christian Nations (with the executive being from the old ACN and the CDL having control of the legislature). Alex Cooper, being the leader of the former ACN group, was elected first executive of the new faction.

At first, the faction had a few problems with unity between the two newly-integrated groups. The problems seemed to be solved for awhile until two members of the faction started arguing, and threatened the newly-established unity. These two nations were Regnum Caeli and Pomeretheia. When the time came for the election of the new executive, these two members ran against each other, and a third member, seeing the disunity this would cause, decided to run. His name was Daryl Joe Cotton, and he won the race becoming the second executive of the LCN. He immediately began setting up a government (which is still visible in the newer ACN faction), and started trying to unify the two quarreling members from before. The latter failed, and after a few weeks he decided to give up the job of Executive because he was to busy in real-life. Because Cotton stepped down as executive, a collaborator of Regnum Caeli, who actually only won 2 votes all together, was able to win the "election" held immediately after. His nation was The Knights Templar, and he became the 3rd executive of the LCN. The moment he got power he started reforms which turned the once democratic faction into a dictatorship. He had proposed amendments to proclaim himself dictator, and a few nations who held seats in the legislator did everything they could to keep these amendments from passing but failed because Rich Brantley of the Knights Templar removed legislators that didn’t support the new amendments, and then appointed pro-dictatorship legislators to pass his reforms. Once the reforms passed and Brantley was proclaimed dictator, Daryl Joe Cotton left the faction. Brantley's take over, along with other personal factors prompted Cotton to stop playing Nations altogether so he deleted his nation. Brantley then used his power to begin conquering small nations to gain territory for the LCN.== ==

When another democratic nation (who was actually a newer member that arrived a few weeks before from the Sorean League) saw that his great ally, Cotton, left the faction because Brantley’s dictatorship, he decided to leave and start a new democratic faction. His name was Bobby Hall, and he named this new faction the Alliance of Christian Nations. Even though he had only been a member of the LCN for a month, he had already gained a large number of pro-democracy followers in the LCN. These members, equal to almost half of the then 60-member LCN, joined Hall’s rebellion to join the ACN. One of these rebels was Adam Hinz of Christorium. With some help from Mr. Hall and the Legislature, Mr. Hinz drafted the Constitution of the faction.----

Such a large rebellion by Hall caused friction between the two factions. The current LCN executive at the time (The Knights Templar) was forced to then step down due to the uproar he had caused. He then chose to hand over the deteriorating situation over to Regnum Caeli who carried on Brantley’s dictatorship. Because Regnum Caeli is one of the most aggressive nations in the world, his appointment as executive did nothing to ease the situations between the two factions, and war loomed. The ever-increasing tension between the two factions, and the ever-increasing dwindling membership numbers of the LCN, forced Cordoba to step down and name Richard Lyne of Kuntree as Executive. Lyne eventually instituted major reforms into the LCN, bringing a democratically-elected Executive back.
Even though the ACN was off to a great start, with membership rising from one member to over 100 members in just its first three weeks, the ACN was not immune to trouble. When Hall founded the ACN, he became the faction’s first Executive and decided that elections would be held once the faction reached 100 members. All other founders of the faction agreed. Once 100 members was almost reached, Hall issued an executive order calling for elections. The ACN’s first election was not without trouble. During the executive election a new nation, by the name of Krakohiza tried to start a rebellion, and the leader tried to install himself as dictator over the ACN. He even tried to use many of the faction’s most loyal members in getting them to run against Hall so that he would be able to boost himself into the Executive position. Hall was luckily smart enough to catch on to Krakohiza's scheme and closed communications temporarily during the elections in an effort to avoid a major coup. The leader of Krakohiza then saw that he could not start a coup in the ACN and decided to start a third Christian faction in an effort to steal members from the ACN and become dictator over them. Krakohiza eventually only convinced 10 members to join him in the third faction. When Krakohiza saw that his new faction was a failure, he decided to try and merge his third faction with the LCN in hopes of taking advantage of the tension between the LCN and ACN. Fortunately, only 2 members from the third faction merged with the LCN, making the merge the laughing stock of the world. The rest of the members from Krakohiza's faction returned to the ACN. The leader of Krakohiza was eventually ousted from the LCN when he tried to gain power and install himself dictator. With the drama from Krakohiza, the LCN Executive, Lyne, stepped down in hopes of finally bringing peace between the ACN and LCN. After many trials, finally the two factions decided that since they were both Christians that they should not go to war with each other for any reason, and peace prevailed. Throughout the rest of the ACN’s early history, the faction continued on a long rise under Bobby Hall, and the LCN continued on its downfall with the help of a series of inadequate executives. Bobby Hall kept his fierce attitude, avoided any major wars that would threaten the faction’s existence, continued to help the alliance prosper, and helped form a very strong representative democracy in the two terms that he was executive. The membership under his rule grew to 274 members. After Hall served two terms, he stepped down and elections were held. The main drafter of the Constitution, Adam Hinz, won. Adam Hinz, after finishing half of his term, which was racked with possible wars and inactivity, stepped down due to his inability to remain active, and handed the leadership of the faction over to his Deputy Executive (Shintaro Koido), who finished out the rest of Adam's term. Upon the end of the reign of Executive Koido, the faction held another election and elected King Daryl Cotton as the Fourth Executive of the ACN. Shortly after becoming Executive, Daryl illegally removed Bobby Hall for the sole reason of Bobby being a real-life LDS Christian beacuse Daryl wrongfully claimed that the LDS Church is not truly Christian. This decision led to a large struggle within the faction, with over 100 people leaving the faction in revolt and following Bobby Hall. Due to these internal disagreements, King Cotton resigned and James Willis became the Fifth Executive of the ACN. Because of life outside of the Nations application, Willis, too, resigned and named Joel Williams as his replacement. At the same time, in an effort to make its democratic stance more public, the Legislature of the ACN was switching to the Nations system for voting. When the measure had passed and things were switched over, a terrorist from the New Axis Powers (which Bobby Hall had rightfully assumed to be up to no good for a very long time, and others in the ACN foolishly ignored Bobby's belief) gained control of the Executive seat and ejected all members from the Faction. The leaders of the Faction would not let this hinder them and started the New Alliance of Christian Nations to reform and rebuild the great Faction they once had. Adam Hinz was placed in as Executive during the trying times until things were cleared up and rebuilt. Sadly, nothing much ever became of the New Alliance of Christian Nations. The faction never regained its glory days under Bobby Hall in the ACN, and to this day the faction has a multitude of inactivity and problems.
