The newest model of multipurpose droid (as of 10 NE) to be produced via a joint venture between partner-supercompanies Virtuality Incorporated and Hallix Manufacturing Incorporated, the G3-TH model droids come equipped with state-of-the-art civilian components and programming, designed to allow the droid to be adaptable and effective in anything its new master would have it do. Within the bounds of the law, of course.
Part of what's designed to make the droid model so appealing to consumers is that it is easily modded. The default droid is set up to be a kind of "jack of all trades", but with a few software and hardware purchases, they can be specialized to act as quality security droids, domestic servants, and any number of other things.
Unfortunately for the companies, the government of ImperiusX, presiding over the safety regulations of both companies, restricted the amount of droids that could be produced in ImperiusX, citing of several safety risks in the droid's design. The most notable of which, a relatively minute risk of the droids forming a collective intelligence and going rogue, garnered a significant amount of media attention.
The issues were fully resolved by the end of 10 NE, however, and the G3-TH droids sold well, despite the media scandal.
