Domina Walker was the granddaughter of Emperor Josh Walker, known later in life as Darth Taral. Her grandmother, Darth Aeris, had a large influence on her life and as she came of age in her teens, Domina began to pay homage to her grandmother's Nightsister heritage, donning extravagant, albeit primitive, costumes and headdresses and painting her face with tribal symbols. She is thought to have taken the Imperial throne around 100 NE.

A natural pioneer the same as her grandfather, Domina sought to expand the Empire. Under her reign, the previously dubbed "Unknown Regions" which had been explored nearly a century before on the orders of her grandfather, were officially annexed into the Empire. Considered her greatest achievement, Domina set into motion a great period of Imperial growth that would later be known as the Expansionist Era. This time period would last for hundreds of years after her death.
